Storybooks Set 1A accompany More Workbook 1 and provide additional opportunity to apply the phonetic concepts introduced in Workbook 1 to connected text. The storybooks use the same vocabulary as Workbook 1 and Storybooks 1 with the addition of one sight word (was). Storybooks 1A are an excellent tool to reinforce the skills from Workbook 1 and can be used with either Workbook 1 or More Workbook 1. The skills that are addressed include short vowel sounds using phonetic skills to read decodable/connected text and sight words. Recommended for beginning readers in Grade 1.
