About This Item

Description

The eclipse bundle allows students to understand the basic relationships between the Earth and the Sun within our solar system, the general characteristics of the sun and what happens during a solar eclipse. It also teaches about what is a sunspot as it relates to the surface of the Sun and how magnetism influences the formation of sunspots. The 10 included eclipse glasses allow students to observe a solar eclipse without doing any harm to their eyes.
On April 8, 2024, the Moon will completely cover the Sun during an awe-inspiring Total Solar Eclipse. Observers within the path of totality will witness the Sun’s dazzling corona, observe the “diamond ring” effect, and see day turn to night.
