Models are powerful tools for teaching science as they provide useful simplifications of structures and processes, helping to make the unseen seen and the complex simple. Using the colorful model, your students will get an engaging overview of the Coronavirus COVID-19 structure.

Using the ready-to-use materials provided with each 3-D model set, students first assemble a model to represent a structure or an entire system as an aid to develop questions and explanations. They will then generate data and observations that can be used to make predictions and communicate ideas to others.

The Coronavirus Structure 3-D Model shows its structure and details what the different components of the structure do. The model includes the viral envelope, RNA genome, spike protein, membrane protein, envelope protein, and the enzymes replicase and protease. Through its use, your students will learn about coronavirus structure and life cycle, and provide an excellent starting point to discuss the challenges that are caused by novel virus strains. It can also be used as an introduction to general virus structure for all levels of students.
