Science notebooks are powerful tools for supporting inquiry, reflection, and sensemaking in the classroom. This self-paced, online introductory course is designed to help educators integrate notebooks effectively within the FOSS (Full Option Science System) curriculum. Participants will explore how notebooks can deepen student understanding of scientific concepts, strengthen literacy connections, and provide authentic evidence of learning.
The course is self-paced, teachers can engage with the content on their own schedule, reflect on their practice, and immediately apply strategies in their classrooms. By the end of the course, participants will feel confident using science notebooks to make student thinking visible and to strengthen science learning through FOSS.
