Designed for individuals who are ready to move beyond single-message communication, the QuickTalker FT 12 is perfect for students, therapy clients, and adults with autism, cerebral palsy, or other conditions affecting speech. Its FeatherTouch membrane keyboard requires 70% less force than standard membrane devices, making it accessible to users with small fingers or limited hand strength. The 12 message locations are divided into two groups: 3 core message buttons that stay the same across all 5 recording levels, and 9 unique message buttons whose content changes on each level. The core message buttons are intended for consistent, high-frequency requests such as "I need help" or "I need to use the bathroom", while the remaining 9 buttons can be re-programmed per level to reflect different environments, activities, or communication goals. Messages are recorded directly into the device, and new recordings can be made on the fly throughout the day without any software or computer. The device is not compatible with external switches, joysticks, or toy/appliance output jacks. Compatible with the free AbleNet Symbol Overlay Maker app (iPad, iPadOS 13 or newer required).
