Grades 9-12.An academic-quality, highly accurate wet spirometer that combines reliability and accuracy with an increased volume to accommodate students with larger lung capacities. Specifically designed to meet the needs of today's physiology educators. Five different respiratory volumes can be determined from measurements obtained: tidal volume (TV, the amount of air exhaled or inhaled in normal breathing), inspiratory capacity (IC, the amount of air which can be inhaled in a strenuous effort, after normal expiration), inspiratory reserve volume (IRV, inspirator capacity minus tidal volume), expiratory reserve volume (ERV, the amount of air that can be breathed out after normal expiration), and vital capacity (VC, the total volume of maximum exhalation capacity plus tidal volume). Features: large, easy-to-read scale graduations, larger-than-normal 9-liter capacity, disposable mouthpieces and one-way plastic valve for sanitary classroom use, and is easy to transport and store.
