NewPath Learning Euglena 3-D Model Making Kit
Description
Models are powerful tools for teaching science as they provide useful simplifications of structures and processes, helping to make the unseen seen and the complex simple. Using the colorful model, your students will get an engaging overview of the protist Euglena.
Using the ready-to-use materials provided with each 3-D model set, students first assemble a model to represent a structure or an entire system as an aid to develop questions and explanations. They will then generate data and observations that can be used to make predictions and communicate ideas to others.
Euglena are unicellular organisms that have challenged taxonomists since they were discovered, as they have both plant and animal cell traits. Using colorful, easy-to-assemble models, your students will enjoy learning about the protist Euglena. The model covers all the main parts of these cells: chloroplasts, flagella, eye spot, contractile vacuole, cell membrane, nucleus, chromosomes, mitochondria, rough ER, and Golgi.
The Model Making Kit includes enough materials for students to assemble up to 5 paper models, working cooperatively along with a comprehensive Teacher Resource Guide.
Also includes a comprehensive, illustrated Teacher Resource Guide for effective preparation and integration of the models’ use in instruction.
