The technical drawing instrument consists of two parts (a short point with a spike at the end and a pencil holder with a positive lock) that are connected by a hinge that is easy to adjust for drawing smaller or larger circles. Simply set the geometry compass for your desired size. This metal compass can draw up to a circle 12 inches in diameter as a maximum.
