Delta Science Readers Electrical Connections Collection
Description
The Delta Science Collection Electrical Connections, students learn about electric charge including how to detect a charge, how to create a charge by friction, induction and conduction and how charges are discharged. Students will also examine current including electric circuits, voltage, resistance as well as series and parallel circuits. They will learn about the relationship between electricity and magnetism and read about various ways electric current can be generated. Lastly, they will examine the role of electricity in everyday life.
Delta Science Readers are 16-page nonfiction books for students with informative, engaging full-color photos and graphics that present key science concepts and vocabulary.
Using science material they promote reading in the specific content area. Readers present key science content and vocabulary found on most state tests and support and extend the experiences and content of hands-on activities. They also help students develop informational literacy skills while promoting scientific inquiry.
