This clear acrylic 3D cube neatly contains the full magnetic force inside a snowglobe-like unit, with iron filings floating inside clear mineral-oil (contained securely in the cube). A magnet is included as a reactant -- simply drop in the magnet into the center top hole of cube and watch the magnetic patterns shift and change before your eyes, as the black iron fillings flit around in various pole directions! The small finger-held cube can be held easily as students observe patterns from all angles and/or add magnets to manipulate iron filings from the outside of cube. Clear acrylic cube can also be used on overhead projectors to super-size the action for groups or classrooms to view. Cube measures 3 L x 3 W x 3 H inches.
