The Empathy Lungs® C.O.P.D. Simulator provides a powerful, hands‑on experience for smoking prevention and cessation education. The weighted, truss‑style garment and airway‑restriction mask work together to temporarily simulate the severe shortness of breath associated with C.O.P.D., asthma, and lung cancer. Users can immediately see reduced lung capacity by comparing before‑and‑after Peak Expiratory Flow (PEF) readings using the included mechanical peak flow meter. The simulator includes: Two chest constrictors (small and large), three weighted pouches, 30 disposable airway‑restriction masks, mechanical peak flow meter (50–800 liters per minute PEF flow range), 30 disposable one‑way mouthpieces, 30 patient booklets, thirty brochures, 30 informed‑consent forms, instructor’s manual, laminated breathing flashcard, 30‑minute training DVD, and two cover‑up shirts.
