The OTvest, denim weighted vest is designed/patented by an OT, whose training in sensory and neurological function influenced the IMPORTANT weight placement in the OTvest™, and whose research has been published in The American Journal of Occupational Therapy. The OTvest's weight placement is strategically positioned DIRECTLY UPON the wearer’s shoulder-girdle, requiring less weight to be uniquely effective for providing trunk stability (ataxia, cerebral palsy, dyspraxia, feeding disorders, and other movement disorders), proprioceptive input, and deep pressure for calming, focusing and behavior organization. "It Feels Good!" Weights are calibrated to the size of the wearer and placed so that weights can't fall out, get lost or played with, and there is no need to guess the weight amount needed to be effective. The denim vest comes with two stylish front pockets, two side pockets and five or six front snaps. The small vest is intended for users that weigh 55 to 75 pounds. The vest measures 36 inches at the chest, and neck to waistline measurement is 14 to 18 inches. Includes 3 pounds of weight. The weight can be removed, allowing the vest to be machine-washed.
