Classroom Select® Contemporary Four Leg Combination Desk

The Classroom Select furniture line from School Specialty was designed to help maximize the potential of any learning space, and our Four Leg Combination Desk is no exception. This convenient classroom staple features an ergonomic Contemporary Series chair combined with an 18 x 24 or 20 x 26 inch desk top. Desk tops are laminate with an MDF core or hard plastic. Available with a polished chrome or black powdercoat frame.

Seat:

  • One-piece, injection-molded, polypropylene shell with a subtle texture
  • Shell and tubular steel frame are ergonomically designed to offer upper back and lumbar support
  • Waterfall edge promotes good circulation while relieving thigh and back-of-knee pressure
  • 15 contoured ribs provide greater flexibility at the upper back while supporting the lower back
  • Convenient cut out in the upper back for easy maneuvering
  • Chair with 18 inch A+ seat height features an extra-wide shell that provides 30% more seat surface

Frame:

  • elf-supporting frame with 1-1/8 inch, 16-gauge tubular steel legs, work surface support, and connecting tube between the legs
  • Seat supports are die-pressed 14-gauge steel that are punched for concealed seat rivets
  • Available in nickel-plated chrome or black powdercoat finishes
  • Optional, field installed, wire book basket is sold separately

Work Surface:

  • Desktops are available in 18 x 24 inch and 20 x 26 inch sizes with three surface options
  • Laminate top features a 9/16 inch thick MDF core with a high-pressure laminate surface and phenolic backer sheet to minimize warping
    • Edges are sealed with polyurethane and include a 1/2 inch eased edge on the student side for added comfort and style
    • Also available with a black polyurethane LockEdge finish for easier cleaning and added durability
  • Hard plastic top is formed from 5/8 inch thick high-impact solid plastic that has been molded into a homogeneous unit by heat and pressure
