Geoscience How Soils are Formed Set includes a sampling of rocks and minerals that break down to become the major components for soils and samples of actual soils demonstrating texture and composition. Collection includes 10 rock and mineral specimens and 5 soil samples for a total of 15 specimens. The rocks and minerals each measure approximately 1-1/2 x 1-1/2 inches and are number-coded, soils samples are packaged in plastic bags the whole collection is packaged in a compartmented box.
