Description

This filtration assembly is used for vacuum filtration of tissue culture media, biological fluids, HPCL, and other aqueous solutions. Assembly consists of 4 borosilicate glass components: a 30 mL funnel; a highly integrated and sealed support base (47 millimeters); 1 liter flask; and an aluminum clamp to hold the filter funnel and support base properly.

The sintered disk (which acts as a filer) is G2 porosity, with a 40 to 90 micron range. The 47 millimeter (mm) filter provides an effective filtration of 9-3/5 centimeters squared. This unit is designed to maximize flow and reduce foaming. When fully assembled, this set measures 17-1/4 inches tall with 8 inches wide and long. Flask measures 9 inches tall; bottom diameter of 5-1/4 inches and top diameter of 1 inch. Vacuum base measures 5 inches tall with top diameter of 3 inches and bottom diameter of 1-1/2 inches. Clip measures 6-1/4 inches wide, 3-1/4 inches long, and 3-1/4 inches tall.
