From projects big to small, Sax Cream White Clay is one of our most versatile earthenware clays to use. These "clay bodies" are manufactured from the finest clean burning and Sulphur-free clays available, with a minimum of clay warpage and cracking. Ready for rendering delicate hand-built forms, graceful wheel thrown pieces, and bold sculptures alike. Unique qualities of this Sax Clay allow for extended working time, making it a popular choice for the ceramic classroom. Starts off as Dark Clay in its moist form, fires to a white bisque, and then matures to a beautiful high-quality cream color. Firing range is Cone 06 to Cone 5 (1855 to 2205 degrees Fahrenheit). Results may vary due to the many differences in techniques, glazing, and firing procedures. Non-toxic; ACMI AP (Approved Product) certified seal.
