The Pronto offers noninvasive and quick spot-check testing of total hemoglobin (SpHb), SpO2, pulse rate, and perfusion index. Traditional invasive lab testing provides delayed results and requires a painful needle and time-consuming blood draws. The meter is easy to use, decreases risk of accidental needle sticks and exposure to blood-borne pathogens, requires no lab consumables or waste disposal. The Pronto-7 SpHb measurements provided clinically acceptable accuracy compared to laboratory tHb measurement in the 6 to 18 g/dL range.
