They can be applied to wet clay, greenware or bisque and fire from cones 5-10. This Brick Red Engobe from Mayco fires a deep matte reddish brown, but can be layered underneath a clear glaze to intensify the color. Please note, the choice of clay body, amount and thickness applied, firing proces, and temperature will significantly impact the fired result.
