This works through infrared light, the same technology that exists in a car parking sensor used to help the driver understand how close the car is to an object while reversing. <b>Note:</b> You'll need firmware v0.0.124 or above for this add-on to function.</div><div class="feature-description"><h2>Features</h2><p><b>IR Emitter:</b><p>An infrared light-emitting diode (LED) on the sensor sends out a modulated beam of IR light, which is invisible to the human eye<p><b>Reflection:</b><p>This IR light beam bounces off any object in front of the robot<p><p><b>IR Receiver:</b><p>The reflected light is captured by a light-detector, or receiver, on the sensor<p><p><b>Distance Measurement:</b><p>The sensor measures the intensity of the light that returns to the receiver, estimating the distance based on how much light is reflected back.
