Innovating Science Cellular Respiration lab provides a way for students to learn about cellular respiration by experimenting with living yeast cells and exposing that to glucose, sucrose, and lactose. They will find that combing the two elements together, the yeast will consume the sugars if they are able to metabolize them, leading the yeast cells to engage in aerobic respiration and/or fermentation. A pH indicator is included to indirectly determine how effective the three sugars work as a food source for the yeast. Kit contains an Instruction Manual and enough material for 2 groups of students.
