These mighty little curves of glass shed some light on learning the science behind optical principles. Also known as diverging lenses, these Double Concave Glass Lenses from United Scientific are superior quality aids, each with two inwardly curved/bulging-out surfaces and a negative focal length of 150 millimeters (mm). Diameter of each lens is 38 millimeters (mm). The kind normally found in items like TV projectors (to make light rays spread out into the distance), cameras, flashlights and more, this type of lens makes parallel/distant light rays passing through curve turn inward or diverge. Note that the shorter the focal length, the more powerful the lens. Use this pair for research studies or teaching demonstrations in geometric optics, physics, and other general optic lessons.
  • Consists of 2 inwardly curved surfaces and a negative focal length, commonly known to correct nearsightedness
  • Diverging lenses can specifically be used as an aid in distribution of light and image reduction alongside a mirror (sold separately)
  • Teachers and students can use these superior quality glasses lenses for learning/teaching optical principles, reflection, physics and more
  • Complement these concave lenses with convex lenses (sold separately) for learning about opposing optic forces for the best geometric optics demonstrations
Includes:
  • 2 Concave Lenses
