Frey Scientific Advanced Ceramic Stirring Hot Plate measuring 4 in x 4 in features one-piece, chemical resistant, reflective white ceramic surface, microprocessor-controlled heating and stirring, easy-to-read LED screen, stirring adjustment knob in RPM, last temperature recall and a rear housing with built-in support rod holder with locking knob. Unit include a 92 removable, 3-wire cord and 1.5 in PTFE stir bar. Hot plate has ambient temperature range from +5 deg to 500 deg C, +/-3% temperature stability, speed range from 60 - 1600 rpm and +/- 2% speed stability. Safety features includes that overshoot protection automatically shuts down unit if temperature exceeds set temperature by 10 deg C, stir protection automatically shuts down heater if stirrer motor fails, ramping feature slowly increases speed for improved safety and enhanced coupling. Hot plate housing is made of a heat resistant polymer that is resistant to corrosion and offers a spill resistant, low profile design.
