Description

This heavy duty, metal inertia demonstration model is perfect for years of student exploration, classroom use, and for illustrating Newton's first law in a hands-on way. Its base is 6-1/2 x 6-1/2 inches and is mounted on stable rubber feet with adjustable height (allowing the platform to be set from 3/4 inch to 1 inch high). The unit includes a 3/4 inch diameter metal ball that is placed on a metal sheet and set upon a 6 inch tall post. The 'trigger' then slides the sheet out from under the ball, dropping it into the receptacle upon the top of the post. Large inertia model is a perfect teaching tool for courses from middle school to basic college courses.
