Description

The Delta Science Collection Earth, Moon and Sun, students learn about the Earth's position in space. They explore the solar system, stars and other galaxies. Students learn about the sun's atmosphere and what it is composed of as well as how it is the center of calendar measurements such as days, years and seasons. Students explore the moon, its topography, and its influences on the Earth through gravitational pull and the blocking of the sub during eclipses.

Delta Science Readers are 16-page nonfiction books for students with informative, engaging full-color photos and graphics that present key science concepts and vocabulary.

Using science material they promote reading in the specific content area. Readers present key science content and vocabulary found on most state tests and support and extend the experiences and content of hands-on activities. They also help students develop informational literacy skills while promoting scientific inquiry.

Each reader has three main sections:
