Delta Science Content Readers are 24-page nonfiction student books with informative, engaging text, full-color photos, and illustrations. Red and Purple Editions both offer the same science content but at two different reading levels. Each offers the same key science content, science vocabulary as well as science and literacy support features.

Both sets of the Delta Science Content Readers present key science content and vocabulary found on state tests and support key reading skills and strategies for reading informational text. They extend and support hands-on activity experiences and content while promoting scientific inquiry. They serve as an opportunity to create a link between home and school.

The Life Science Collection includes eight titles that cover main Life Science topics. Titles in the collection are Animal Needs and Life Cycles, Cells and Classification, Changes in Ecosystems, Ecosystems, Heredity, Human Body Systems, Plant Life Cycles, and Plant Needs.
