Aldon's Creating Electric Art provides students with the materials and knowledge to make art through the use of electricity. In this demonstration, A copper “pen” will be used to electrolyze a solution of potassium iodide and draw on a piece of filter paper. The color of the “ink” will change depending on whether the copper is acting as the cathode or the anode in the electrolytic cell. There are enough materials to complete the demonstration 5 times.
