Designed for students, therapy clients, and adults with motor impairments who need alternative computer access, the Hitch 2 requires no driver installation - simply plug and play. Five 3.5-mm TS mono switch input jacks allow different switches to be assigned to different functions simultaneously, with a joystick port for compatible joystick devices (sold separately). The Hitch 2 ships with a simplified, clearly labeled interface featuring preset keystrokes (Up, Down, Left, Right, and Left Click) covering the core commands used by most switch-accessible software. A programmable row (positions PR1 through PR5) allows each switch to be mapped to a custom sequence of one to four keystrokes, useful for non-standard software commands, F-key media functions, or multi-key combinations. Programming is done via the USB keyboard pass-through port; a standard USB keyboard connects temporarily to enter the desired keystrokes, then is removed. All settings are retained in memory even when the Hitch 2 is unplugged. Mouse control mode allows an attached joystick or multiple switches to move the on-screen cursor directly. macOS users can enable Switch Control (Sierra, El Capitan, Yosemite, or Mavericks) for full computer access.
