School Specialty Annual School Resources Drive...a Success
The School Specialty Activities Committee held its second annual school resources drive in partnership with the non-profit organization, Communities in Schools.
This year, efforts were focused on providing resources to 31 students who are a part of the city's elementary school after-school and summer programs. These are students whose parents need a little help to afford their children's required school resources.
The drive was an overwhelming success! Associates provided backpacks filled with resources for each child in the program—and there were resources to spare for children who might need them throughout the year. Associates gave generously and the result was to make a real difference in a child's education and life.
