Builds a Comfortable Home and Good Will
Associates at School Specialty's corporate headquarters in Greenville had the opportunity to undergo a unique kind of "on the job" training. They learned how to build a house.
School Specialty partnered with the Greater Fox Cities Habitat for Humanity and has not only provided volunteers to do the physical work, the company has raised the $70,000 needed for the building supplies for the house. Dave Vander Zanden, President and CEO of School Specialty, said the company is pleased with the opportunity to participate. "It was a very rewarding and fulfilling experience for us, and we're pleased that we were able to help the community in this way. We hope to be back to do some more. It's a great project. It's our first time, and it's gone extremely well."
